Base Camp covers a large flat area behind the Field Kitchen, ideal for medium sized groups of 20-60 people.
The area is quite sheltered by a hedgerow along the farmers field to the West and edging in to the woods on the North and East.
It’s ideally situated to hire the Field Kitchen and is near to a number of drinking water taps.
There is a ‘Small Camp Fire area’ situated nearby the Field Kitchen, this is the designated ground fire point (the only place where ground fires are allowed, other than in the Camp Fire Hollow) exclusively for the Base Camp and Cub Field users – with the idea that it is shared between any groups staying across those two areas.
In addition, groups are also able to utilise the main ‘Camp Fire Hollow’ which is a shared communal space for all groups on site.
